New Feature Release: Shipping Discounts Now Combine With Product Discounts

Many Shopify merchants have been asking for more flexibility in creating layered promotional offers to stand out in such a competitive eCommerce landscape. BOGOS now allows you to combine shipping discounts with product discounts, removing the previous limitation where your customers could only benefit from one discount type per order. 

What This Means for You

Your customers are able to enjoy both product discounts and shipping discounts simultaneously with only one offer set up. Instead of spending time manually setting up shipping discounts with Shopify’s native discount features like before, our logic will help combine product and shipping discounts seamlessly. 

This combination will eliminate the unexpected situation when shoppers abandon their carts due to shipping fees, while also making your offers more valuable to them. For example, if you’re running a bundle of low-stock items combined with a 50% shipping discount, customers will feel the offer is more valuable and quickly complete their purchases. 

4 Eligible Promotions To Combine With The Shopping Discount

Until now, there have been six offer types that work well when combined with shipping offers:

• Mix and match 
• Bundler builder
• Volume discount
• Frequently bought together
• Checkout upsell
• Thank you page upsell

How To Set Up 

Setting up Shipping Discount combinations in your BOGOS dashboard takes just a few clicks. Here are a brief guidelines on how to add Shipping discount with your product discounts:

• Step 1: From your BOGOS dashboard, choose Create offer.

• Step 2: In your Choose offer type section, select the suitable offer type with your campaign 

• Step 3: In the Create offer screen, scroll down to the Discount section and click Shipping discount. 

There are two types of shipping discounts:

• Percentage: A percentage of the shipping cost will be deducted.
• Amount: A fixed amount will be deducted from the total shipping cost.

Label on widget: This text informs customers whether the offer includes a shipping discount.
